⚠ DANGER: Highly flammable solvent with a low flash point (−20 °C / −4 °F). Vapours are heavier than air and can travel to ignition sources. Eye and respiratory irritant at elevated concentrations.
GHS Hazard Pictograms
🔥 Flammable⚠ Harmful/Irritant
Hazard Statements (H-codes)
H225 – Highly flammable liquid and vapour
H319 – Causes serious eye irritation
H336 – May cause drowsiness or dizziness
Precautionary Statements (P-codes)
P210 – Keep away from heat, sparks, open flames
P261 – Avoid breathing vapours
P305+P351+P338 – IF IN EYES: Rinse cautiously with water for 15 min
First Aid Measures (Section 4)
👁Eye Contact▼
Immediately flush eyes with large amounts of clean water for at least 15 minutes, lifting upper and lower eyelids occasionally. Remove contact lenses if present and easy to do. Seek medical attention if irritation persists.
🖐Skin Contact▼
Wash affected area with soap and water. Remove contaminated clothing. Skin absorption is minimal but repeated contact defattens skin — use barrier cream for regular work.
🫁Inhalation▼
Remove to fresh air immediately. If breathing is difficult, administer oxygen and seek medical attention. High concentrations cause CNS depression.
🫦Ingestion▼
Do NOT induce vomiting. Rinse mouth and give water if conscious. Call Poison Control (1-800-222-1222). Aspiration hazard is low but seek medical evaluation.
Storage & Handling
🔒 Storage & Handling: Store in a cool, well-ventilated area in approved flammable storage cabinets. Keep away from ignition sources, heat, and oxidizers. Keep containers tightly closed.
PPE Requirements
Chemical splash goggles
Nitrile or neoprene gloves
Flame-resistant clothing in high-concentration areas
Organic vapour respirator if ventilation is inadequate
